Cardamom Lime & Honey Frozen Yogurt
| August 21, 2019We’re going to start off the year with a delicious Cardamom Lime & Honey Frozen Yogurt. I recently went off of processed sugar. I did this for a number of reasons but the main one right now is I was getting headaches. I’m not sure where they were coming from – stress, weather, food sensitivity, hormonal, but I do know that I don’t want them anymore so I bought the book The Migraine Relief Plan and started following it closely. I’ve been eating fruit to satisfy my sweet cravings but I wanted something a bit more decadent. I also had some extra yogurt from a demo I did with my granola company Urban Hippie hence the decision to make this frozen dessert. I use this ice cream maker that I LOVE but you can also just put the mixture in your freezer if you don’t have one.
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup milk or mylk
- 2 tsp. coarsely chopped cardamom pods
- 3 1/2 cups plain yogurt
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1 Tbs. vanilla extract
- 2 tsp. fresh lime juice
Directions:
Whisk the yogurt, vanilla and lime juice into the milk mixture. Transfer to an ice cream maker and freeze according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
Serve immediately, or transfer the frozen yogurt to an airtight container, cover and freeze until firm, about 4 hours.
